Langford Schoolhouse: A Success Story

The Langford Schoolhouse is a success story as it was saved through community efforts. The original schoolhouse was built on the site in the early 1870s but was destroyed by fire. The current structure, constructed in 1896, transitioned from being a school to a Community Centre in 1964. The Langford Conservancy is the not for profit organization that, amongst other activities in the Community, has taken over the care of the Schoolhouse and maintains it as a community hub. Ella Haley is a founding member, and currently serves as Project Manager for the Langford Conservancy.
